Custom Tiny Homes on Wheels

At Cocoon Tiny Homes, we design and create custom tiny homes on wheels.

We have many designs to choose from that serve as a good base to start or bring your ideas to us for a custom tiny home creation. We can modify any of our existing designs to include your changes or you can bring your ideas to us and we can design from scratch.

Our custom design process is personalised for you allowing you to create your very own custom tiny home on wheels. We work very closely with you (either in person or over a Zoom meeting) to design and create all features in your custom tiny home. All this comes to life in our 3D models that are very interactive, allowing you to explore every aspect of your tiny home. Once happy with the design, we move on to pricing the custom tiny home and offer a fixed price to build. You can rest assured you know exactly how much the tiny home will cost from the start.

Choose your design

This is when we meet with you either in person or over a zoom meeting to discuss the design of home you have chosen and talk about any other ideas you may have to personalise your home for you! We also discuss materials, colour scheme and interior fit-out (including designer kitchen, bathroom and appliances). For a custom build completely different from one of our designs we charge a fee of $4,000 plus GST. You will receive a preliminary layout design, 2 to 3 revisions, a lighting and electrical plan which would give you a 3D concept model, framing plan and elevations.

Build Spot fee

Now that we have your design sorted, we need to lock in a date when we can build your new Tiny House. We book out several months in advance so it's crucial to lock in a date as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
A non-refundable $6,500 payment is required to secure your build spot. This will be deducted off the first progress payment at contract signing stage.

Contract

We are now ready to provide you with our contract. This will be a firm price contract based on the chosen design and materials selected at the design stage. Once the contract is signed by all parties, we can proceed with ordering the main components (eg, trailer, steel framing, cladding).

Payments

We have 4 instalment payments throughout the build process which consist of 30% on contract signing, 30% at framed stage, 30% at lock up (windows fitted) and the final 10% together with any variation costs prior to your tiny house leaving our factory.

Construction time!

This is the exciting part where you can start to see your dream tiny home become a reality! We will post regular updates along the way for you to view or you are also welcome to come onsite at any time to see the progression of your home.

Delivery

Before delivery we make sure your tiny home is cleaned inside and out and ready for delivery. We can assist with arranging delivery for you. It is a good time now to also consider factors like site being ready and access suitable for the positioning of the tiny home, insurance cover and connections etc.
